Meet Tammy Medina
Founder & Executive Director, Flourishing Futures, Inc.
Tammy Medina is the Founder and Executive Director of Flourishing Futures, Inc. Her passion for helping women in recovery comes from her own lived experience and her belief that our greatest struggles can become a platform for hope and change.
As a single mother and a woman in long-term recovery from alcohol addiction, Tammy understands firsthand the courage it takes to rebuild a life. Her faith in God and her own recovery journey inspired her to create a safe, stable, and nurturing place where women could heal, grow, and build a new future—without having to choose between their recovery and their children.
Flourishing Futures was created with the belief that recovery is about more than remaining sober. It is about restoring dignity, rebuilding families, finding purpose, and breaking generational cycles of addiction and dysfunction.
Even the name Flourishing Futures reflects the spirit of the organization. Tammy worked alongside the home’s first three residents to choose a name that represented what they were building together: not simply a sober home, but a place where women and their children could begin to flourish.
Today, Tammy continues to lead Flourishing Futures with faith, compassion, accountability, and a deep commitment to walking alongside women as they rebuild their lives.
Her belief is simple: when a woman is given the opportunity to heal, the future of an entire family can change.
